Well the new year is here and the school prom bookings are starting to come through. We have already two nights where we are running multiple proms, thankfully with our big investments in equipment last year we can attend up to three proms every night.
We have taken the decision to keep our prices the same as last year even though there has been an increase in VAT, good for you and good for the taxman!
What should you look our for when booking a school prom photographer? Well obviously pricing is very important to you but you should not over look the other important factors such as:
Insurance - Is the photographer insured? What would happen if they shorted out the electrics at your venue, would they pay to run the school prom again?
CRB Checking - Are your photographers checked with the criminal records bureau?
PAT Testing - Is there equipment safe?
Backup equipment - Should your photographer have a camera or lights fail, will they still be able to take your photos?
Choices - Will the photographer offer a choice of backdrops? Print sizes? Pre-pay options? Are you paying more than you need to?
To find out more information about our school prom packages, take a look at our website school-prom-photos.com you will find out everything you need to know about booking photoREVERIE to be your school prom photographers.
Areas covered: All of Buckinghamshire (inc Milton Keynes and Aylesbury), Bedfordshire (Bedford, Luton, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard), Northamptonshire (Northampton, Daventry etc)

Re-branding
Firstly I must apologise for being incredibly negligent regarding the updating of my blog. Since my last post to say that we have been busy would be an incredible understatement and I must admit the blog has been the last thing on my mind.
Due to the demand for our services and my wish to grow our business beyond our original aims, I have decided to re-brand our events and automotive aspects of the business.
Therefore from now onwards the different divisions of the business will be called:
Lee Marshall Photography - Primarily weddings and portraits and other "personal" projects
photoREVERIE - Our event photography business. Corporate events, social events, school proms, sports, equestrian etc
Autographic Photography - Automotive Photography. Trackdays, car art, brochures etc
This blog will be available from all of the sites within the Lee Marshall Photography Group.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. Hopefully normal blogging will resume shortly.

Wow, what a couple of months!
It has been a great couple of months for our event business. The school prom season was our busiest ever with lots of great feedback from the schools and a record amount of photo views on our website. However the crowning achievement for us was the MK Masked Ball held last Saturday at the Stadium:MK, our fourth time attending this event. With 550 guests to photograph and 140 performers and volunteers we knew it was going to be busy but everything ran perfectly and no one had to wait for their photographs. We have also had a more than 17,000 photograph views o

Oxford Industrial Park, Yarnton

Over the last couple of days we have been taking some high level photos for a new client, a marketing company. The photos have been of vacant industrial units in Enfield and Oxford. Every time I use our High Level Photography equipment (a VW Transporter van modified to take a 20 metre mast) I am amazed by the difference an aerial photograph makes. You can tell by the photo that this was a huge building which would be impossible to photograph from the ground.

Hollie-wood Ball - Hope for Hollie Campaign
Our latest event was the Hollie-wood Ball, in aid of the Hope for Hollie Campaign. It was an excellent event with a large turnout of 342 guests. We provided a complete photo solution including entrace photos, candid and stage photos as well as our full studio. It was also the first time we have used our new wi-fi transmitter which worked flawlessly. This enabled us to have our studio and photo sales desks totally separate from each other. We ran two PC's each with their own large display screen, ensuring that any queues for photos were minimised. Naturally our high-speed photo printer kept up with demand and our spares were related to our van, again!Another quote for our scrapbook, this time from Helen Carter the organiser of the ball:
"Thanks for providing a great service last night - you will definitely come highly recommended by ourselves and we look forward to being able to work with you at future events."
If you would like to book us for your event, make sure you book early!

Red Cross - Dance for Life
For the past couple of months we have been shooting at a range of events organised by the Red Cross. "Dance for Life" is a youth dance competition based in the south east of England. We have been shooting posed photos with a portable studio as well as taking photos of the performance and prize-giving. We have currently raised £650 for the Red Cross and still have four events to go. This photo was taken at the most recent event in Deptford. More info on Dance for Life is available here.
